REVIEW GUIDELINES

·         Your review should be between 400-600 words in length.

·        There is no payment, but you get to keep the book.  If the product is not a book, other compensation arrangements will be made.

·         These guidelines are suggestions only. Please feel free to add additional information to your review. It is also not necessary to cover every one of the points below in your review. Select the ones that apply in some significant way to the work you are reviewing.

·         Please be sure to put the author(s), date, publisher, page count, format, ISBN, and price after the title.

·         If the item to be reviewed is nonprint (database, software, audiotape), read the publisher's user guidelines. Are the instructions clear?

·         If the item is a book, read the preface, foreword or introduction. Does the work meet its stated goal? Be sure to read the table of contents. Be aware of organization and writing style; comment on these if they are significant to your overall opinion of the work. What suggestions do you have to make this a better work?

·         Who is the intended audience? A general comment lets our readers know if the work is aimed at their users.

·         Comment on the format if it is significant and enhances the value of the work. It is generally helpful to our readers if you mention research aides such as indexes, bibliographies, charts and tables, checklists, and computer disks, if provided.

·         Compare the work to a similar one; does it add anything that existing works do not have? Are there any unusual organizational features that make it easier to use? Will the work be kept current? Are there plans to supplement it?

·         Does the author have any special qualifications or experience to make him/her an authoritative author in this field?

·         What is the reputation of the publisher? Is the publisher known for publications in this field?

·         For what types of libraries would you recommend this title? How or why would business/legal researchers use this book?

·         Please do not add headlines or use an outline format; keep it a straight narrative. Do not recite the contents chapter by chapter!

·         Submit your review in Word format if possible. A copy on disk is also acceptable, but we cannot send the disk back to you.

·         Please indicate how your review should be signed (title, organization, city & state)

·         Send your review by the deadline to:
