Here a Docket, There a Docket: Choices Abound in Federal Court Docket Research

This is the first article in an informative three-part series on docket retrieval services. The last time we looked at this topic was in 2007 and much has changed as you will discover when you read this lengthy article. Docket retrieval may not be the most exciting topic on the legal scene, but it is definitely one you need to know about.  The three parts are:
Part 1: Pacer, Courtlink and CourtExpress;  Part 2: Courtrax, Bloomberg Law Dockets & other federal court docket providers; Part 3: State court access from the above vendors , regional vendors.  The authors are an interesting group of law librarians from the Philadelphia firm of Blank Rome LLP.
